HASLEMERE beat Farncombe by 10 wickets and the game was as one-sided as the result sounds.
Farncombe, bottom of the Surrey Championship Division?Five with only one win to their credit, were bowled out for 41 after Leigh Thayre had inserted them at their own Broadwater Park home.
An Ollie Ellis hat-trick left the innings in ruins at 21-6. With the last two balls of one over, Ellis trapped Stuart Paterson in front and bowled Jake Charman. With the first ball of his next over, Ellis castled Tom Johanson and celebrated his treble.
Ellis finished with figures of 10-5-19-4 and Chris May, equally destructive, recorded 10-5-18-3.
The wicket was clearly responsive, but opener Ryan Luff showed what could be done by scoring 34 off 67 balls before being ninth man out, caught by Thayre off Chris Spooner. Sam Williams completed the hatchet job with 2-2 in 2.4 overs.
It was only left for Spooner and Chris Hooker to knock off the runs in 6.1 overs. Spooner was the dominant partner, hitting five boundaries in his unbeaten 27 off 17 balls.
