Generous grant to school

By Farnham Herald in Community News

CHILDREN in Need has granted Hale School £78,503 over the next three years to support children and families in north Farnham.

The grant will provide much-needed counselling and outreach support and will fund a home-school link worker who will be able to provide one-on-one support, home visits and other resources for families, which will in turn have a positive effect on mental health, school attendance and attainment and will decrease negative behaviour.

Sandy Hill, which is the most disadvantaged area in Waverley according to the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD), is an area that will directly benefit from this grant.
